“Advertising is the art of convincing people to spend money they don’t have for something they don’t need.” – Will Rogers
Something in the world of online video advertising has gone terribly awry. Today, the most prolific form of video ads on the web is centered around short clips that interrupt a user’s experience with content they aren’t interested in watching. Advertisers are competing for just a few seconds of your attention rather than trying to create compelling content that is focused on a story you’d actually want to watch (an ad you’d opt-in to). Furthermore, in a world that is becoming more and more transparent, the general public is beginning to realize what traditional ads really are (i.e. Companies paying heaps of money to say their product is the best). When founding Unreasonable Media, it became apparent to our team that the industry of online video advertising is in need of a transformation. We have set our sights on playing a role in that fundamental shift and have dedicated ourselves to becoming exceptional at capturing a company’s most compelling story… a story that is authentic and a story that resonates with its viewers.
WHAT WE ARE DOING TO PROPEL THIS “SHIFT” IN ADVERTISING
We are creating 2 – 8 minute videos for major corporations who are eager to tell their story, to crowd-source innovation, to promote their core values, and to resonate with their customers on a very human level. We make ads that are so well done, the paradigm is shifted and they become content worth watching and worth spreading on their own.*
